Everyone is welcome… everyone.
At New Geneva Community Church we are passionate to share God’s love and His story of forgiveness and salvation. When honest, most of us would admit we didn’t come from a storybook Christian home and that is certainly true at New Geneva. From that backdrop, everyone is welcome here regardless of one’s background or past, current journey or struggles, or one’s station in life. Whether you’ve been hurt by organized religion and haven’t been to church in years or at all, or feel you made too many mistakes in life, we warmly extend a personal invitation to you. We aren’t perfect and we don’t claim to be. We understand Christianity is not for perfect people, otherwise no-one at New Geneva or anywhere else would qualify. Christianity is for sinners who have been forgiven and restored by a holy God, and who reap the blessings from that forgiveness and restoration.
Also, we’d love to try to help you with your questions about faith, doubt, skepticism, or anything at all related to the life of a follower of Christ. Or if interested, any questions about how to become a follower of Christ yourself.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ
The Gospel, the good news about Jesus Christ, is our very foundation. The birth, death and resurrection of Christ on the third day, is at the heart of our doctrine and beliefs. The Bible teaches that Jesus is the door in which to enter into a relationship with God, and that He is the only One who meaningfully transforms a person’s life now and for all eternity. We’re dedicated to reaching others with this message of hope and transformation. Our desire is that every person in Western Kentucky has an opportunity to hear, understand, and experience the restoring power of the Gospel of Christ.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes... – Romans 1:16
We are ARP
New Geneva Community Church is a part of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Tracing its heritage to 1782, the ARP is one of the oldest theologically and socially conservative denominations in the United States (in more recent years expanded to include Canada). Our form of governance, Presbyterianism, consists of a representative system of ministers and elders. Each local church's ministers and elders are themselves subject to a local presbytery (a geographic grouping of churches), and the presbyteries are subject to its General Synod.
